The 48hr Film Challenge.

The 48hr Short Film Challenge was conceived by British film maverick Johnny Oddball, who was determined to shake his peers out of their slow burning failure to ever make anything. Filmmakers form small teams and then draw, at random, a title and genre. The team then have just 48hrs to create a film.

It’s a format that’s been much copied but we were lucky enough to take part in the very first 48hr Challenge in London in 2002. We competed again in 2004 when Johnny took the challenge to Paris and, having developed a love for high-pressure filmmaking, ran our own version in Jersey as part of the Branchage Film Festival in 2009.
